Sedan -
Maxine Trigg, age 83, of Cedar Vale, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Sedan City Hospital.
She was born January 20, 1927 in Cleveland, Oklahoma to Samuel and Ada (Jones) Bridges. She attended school in Garber, Oklahoma and Sedan High School in Sedan, Kansas.
She married Virgil Trigg on October 8, 1946 in Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2001. She worked as a surgical scrub technician for Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Cedar Vale, Kansas. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home and loved her little dog.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Wood and husband D. Ray of Copan, Oklahoma and Cheryl Graves and husband Jim of Newkirk, Oklahoma; three sisters, Madelean Sanders of Wellsville, Kay Sproat of Lutz, Florida and Jeanie Jarboe and her husband Delbert of Cedar Vale, Kansas; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Virgil, her sister, Doris Worthington and one brother, Leslie Bridges.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Cedar Vale Cemetery in Cedar Vale, Kansas with Reverend Paul Stetz officiating.
The family suggests memorials to the Pleasant Valley Manor Activity Fund and these remembrances may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 North Douglas, Sedan, KS 67361.
