Obituary of Edward Jaimez

Edward Robert Jaimez, 77, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his home.

Edward was born on October 12, 1939 in Crookston, Minnesota to Eufrasio and Rosa (Galvan) Jaimez. He grew up in Lawrence, Kansas where he attended school. He worked in the sanitation department for the City of Lawrence for many years.

Edward was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, mowing yards, and helping other people. He was a KU fan and loved his dog Kiki. Most of all he loved the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends.

Surviving to honor his memory are his daughters, Victoria Ball and husband Floyd of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Regina Flowers and husband Jonathan of Haysville, Kansas, Julie Curtis and husband Mark of Newton, Kansas, Felicia Curry of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Jamie Mahurin, Angel Archer, Jonathan Flowers, Jr., Amanda Winegarner, Charles Flowers, Blaine Moore, Brendan Moore, Alexandra Moore, Mattheau Curtis, Ryan Curtis, Alexandria Curtis, Dominique Curry, Lasamuel Curry, Allana Curry and Lorenzo Curry; great grandchildren, Jasmyn Davidson, Ricki Davidson, Christian Davidson, Jayden Mahurin, Mason Royalty, Kimmy Archer, Kellie Archer, Gabriell Winegarner, Marissa Winegarner, Anthony Flowers, Logan Flowers and Noah Flowers; brother, Alexander Jaimez of Coffeyville, Kansas; sister, Georgia Broadwell of Coffeyville; Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eufrasio and Rosa Jaimez; grandson, Jayson Archer; brothers, Santos, Pete, Bernard and Johnny Jaimez; and sister, Angela Jaimez.

Following Edward's wishes cremation has taken place.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville with Father Chad Arnold officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville.

A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Holy Name Catholic Church.
