Denise Buck

Denise Susan Buck, 64, of Coffeyville passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

She was born on September 10, 1959, in Coffeyville, to Robert and Phyllis Avery. Denise spent her early years in Caney, Kansas where she attended school in Caney and Clay Center, Kansas.

Denise married Terry Buck, and they made their in Coffeyville, Clay Center, Kansas, and in Iowa, before finally returning to Coffeyville in 2002. She worked in nursing homes as a cook and in housekeeping. Denise nourished a love for reading and watching old movies.

Denise was a family woman as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Eric Buck, Vanessa Buck, and Deana Buck, her brother David Avery, her sister Diana Avery, and her brother, Dennis Avery. She took immense joy in her seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Denise was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Phyllis Avery, and her husband Terry Buck.

Following Denise’s wishes, cremation is to take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. There are no public services scheduled.
