Ed Foster Obituary (1952 - 2024) - Coffeyville, Kansas

Edward Curtis Foster, 71, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He was born on August 12, 1952, in Coffeyville to Frank and Louise (Hannah) Foster. Ed grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1969 and attended Coffeyville Community College. In 1976 he married Clydina Grigsby, they had two children, Curtis, and Christy. They later divorced. On April 24, 1999, he married Patty Weimer. Ed was employed in the maintenance department at Coffeyville Community College until his retirement. He was a member of the First Assembly of God. In his spare time Ed enjoyed fishing, picking pecans, and working on cars especially the 1958 Edsel he lovingly restored. Survivors include his son Curtis Foster and wife Michele, daughter Christy Foster, wife Patti Foster, stepchildren, Jason Hultz and wife Cher, Lisa Patchett and husband Larry, Brandi Owens and husband Zach, and David Foster; two sisters, Mary Lou Frost and Sharon McNeal; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Following Ed’s wishes cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will have a celebration of Ed’s life at a later date.
