Harold "Sonny" Eugene Stevens, 77, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at his home in Coffeyville. \n\n\nHarold was born on August 19, 1939 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Harold J. and Ida Mae (Lester) Stevens. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local schools. \n\n\nHe spent his life as a farmer. He farmed corn, wheat, soy beans and at one time had a dairy farm. Over the years he also worked for Jencast and Morrow Foundry. On November 23, 1973 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sherry Ann Miller. The couple married in Nowata, Oklahoma and made Coffeyville their home where they raised their three daughters. \n\n\nWhen he wasn't busy with his farming he enjoyed going "junking" and the time he got to spend on his mower. Most of all he loved the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends. He was a christian and enjoyed attended local churches over the years. \n\n\nSurviving to honor his memory are his loving wife, Sherry of the home; daughters, Kathy Stevens, Charlotte Phillips, Donna Homan; grandchildren, Brandon and Billy McClellan, Kaci, Krissy and Robert Phillips, Chelsea and Travis Homan and Silas Jeter; great grandchildren, Bryson, Sophia and Brett all of Coffeyville, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ida Mae Stevens and by his sister, Carolyn Webb-Fliflet. \n\n\nFollowing Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. \n\n\nThe family suggests memorial contributions can be made to David W. Barnes Funeral Home at 306 N.
