John R. Tunstall, 81, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Windsor Place.\n\nHe was born on June 29, 1935, at Bluejacket, OK to Walter and Lela (Marang) Tunstall. John grew up in the Valeda and Angola area where he attended grade school, he completed his education graduating from Labette County High School in 1954.\n\nOn June 5, 1955, he married Beverly Duncan at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Sand Springs, OK until returning to Coffeyville in 1961, where John was worked in the maintenance department at Sherwin-Williams for and later at Coffeyville Recon. \n\nJohn was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. \n\nSurvivors include his wife, Beverly Tunstall; one son, Tim Tunstall and wife Kellie of Edna; one daughter, Anita Vail and husband Fred of Edna; two brothers, Harold Tunstall of Springfield, IL, and Dean Tunstall of Vancouver, WA; four sisters, Margaret West of Tulsa, OK, Sylvia Myers of Parsons, Irma Falkter of Silver City, NM, and Helen of Vallejo, CA; four grandchildren, Tyler Tunstall of Okinawa, Japan, Emily Tunstall of Edna, Sean Wyrick of Coffeyville, and Christopher Martin of Independence; and three great-granddaughters, Megan Wyrick of Wamego, Raeleigh Wyrick and Makenna Wyrick both of Hoisington.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert "Dub"; and one sister, Carol.\n\nGraveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.\n\nFriends may call on Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W.
