As a building maintenance technician, Jason not only maintained structures but also built strong relationships, leaving a lasting imprint on those he worked with. His love for woodworking, western movies, gospel music, and DIY projects around the home was only surpassed by his love for his family. His wife, Jaclyn Smith, and his children, Charlie (Nikki Danner) Smith, Kristina Smith, Alex (Nichole Davis) Smith, Abigail (Tyler Adams) Smith, Isabella (William) Hoy, and William Smith, were the cornerstone of his life, his source of pride and joy. These ties were further strengthened by his grandchildren, April, Zoey, Kaitlyn, Payton, Hope, and Elijah, who brought immense happiness into his life. \n\nJason is also survived by his father, Larry Smith, and stepmother, Karen Smith, along with his siblings Mike (April) McIntosh, Glen (Rhonda) Smith, Jim (Cathy) Smith and step-siblings Billie Sue Thompson, Beryl Darnell, Keenan (Audrey) Darnell, Travis (Crystal) Darnell, and Schurilla Adams and in-laws Barbara (Jack) Winningham, James Harrison, and brother-in-laws Heath Harrison, and Benjamin Harrison.\n\nJason's journey on earth came to a close on August 18, 2023, in Coffeyville, Kansas, where he had resided for the past 14 years. His final moments were spent in the manner that defined his life - praising Jesus. As he lifted his arms and whispered the name 'Jesus', it was a poignant reminder of his steadfast faith and devotion. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Smith and brother-in-law, Bobby Harrison. The legacy he leaves behind is one of deep faith, love for family, and an unwavering commitment to the values he held dear.\n\nThe celebration of Jason's life will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10:30 am at the First Assembly of God, 1504 West 8th Street, Coffeyville, Kansas, 67337.
