Kenneth "Kenny" Tosh Obituary (1945 - 2023)

Kenneth Ray “Kenny” Tosh, Sr., age 77, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Medicalodge in Coffeyville. Kenny was born on June 17, 1945, in Coffeyville, Kansas to John and Ida “Louise” (Sprague) Tosh. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School. In 1967 he was united in marriage to Pearl Perkins in Coffeyville. Of that union two sons were born. The couple later divorced. Kenny was a hard worker and a jack-of-all trades. He operated K Ray Contracting Service for many years. He went on to do all the maintenance for the Lewark Apartments until he retired for health reasons. In younger years Kenny coached basketball for the city rec, traveling teams and the Kansas Cuties. He enjoyed watching football and basketball and liked to draw. Most of all he loved his family. Kenny was baptized at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Noxie, Oklahoma and held strong to his faith. Surviving to honor his memory are his son, Kenneth R. “Jr” Tosh and wife, Karen of Coffeyville, Kansas; grandsons, Tim and wife, Sabrina and Tyler and wife, Maggie, Kendall Tosh; great grandson Parker Tosh; siblings, Clarence Tosh and wife, Judy of Coffeyville, Kansas, Sharon Felton and husband, Tim of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Dave McCurley of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Nisha Tosh, Julie Tosh, Sue Tosh and Gloria Tosh, along with numerous extended relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Louise Tosh; his infant son, Keith R. Tosh; his sister, Martha McCurley; brothers, Steve, Jim, Johnny “John”, Joe and Charlie Tosh. Following Kenny’s wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Friends may sign the guest register on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will be present to greet friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions go to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and can be left at the funeral home or mailed in c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N.
