Kevin Hooper

Kevin Douglas Hooper, age 59, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

The son of Douglas and Marie (Simmons) Hooper, Kevin was born on April 7, 1967, and raised in Belfast, Maine. He graduated from Belfast Area High School and resided in Maine for the majority of his adulthood. Later in life, Kevin moved away from Maine and traveled and worked in South Carolina, California, and finally Kansas where he decided to settle and spent the last few years of his life.

Kevin was a Jack of all Trades. He was especially handy with any type of trade and construction work and enjoyed tinkering with anything having a motor. He started his own lawn service and even worked as a farm hand when he first arrived in Kansas. Kevin will be remembered fondly for his likability and gift of gab.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Danny Dodge. He is survived by his sister, Lori Jones, of New Port Richey, Florida; his biological son, Robert Hamm, of Coffeyville, Kansas, who he recently reconnected with; as well as many extended family members.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, and no public service is planned.
