Michael (Pete) Wayne VanBuren

–

Coffeyville, Kansas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael (Pete) Wayne VanBuren on April 10, 2024. Born in Coffeyville, KS on September 24, 1961, Michael was a charismatic figure, known for his adventurous spirit, and courageous heart. A lifelong resident of Coffeyville, he was an integral part of the community for 62 years.

A man of many passions, Michael was particularly fond of fishing, a hobby that not only brought him immense joy but also allowed his adventurous side to shine. His charisma was infectious, and his courage was admired by all who knew him. Michael is survived by his son, Noah (Lacy) VanBuren; his grandsons, Dagen VanBuren, Baxton Andrews, and Titus VanBuren; his mother and step-father, Sharon (Clark) High; and his brother, Reece Skinner.

Michael's life was a testament to the fact that what matters most is not what we have in our lives, but who we have in our lives. His memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

We invite you to share your fond memories and upload photos of Michael to the memorial page. Let us celebrate his life and remember the joy he brought to ours.
