Tony Tolbert Obituary (1965 - 2023)

Tony Neil Tolbert, 57, of Lenapah, Oklahoma passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on September 20, 1965, at Albuquerque, New Mexico to William and Martha (Oliver) Tolbert. Tony grew up and attended school in several different states and countries while his father served in the U. S. Army. He completed his education at Heavener, Oklahoma where he graduated high school. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the medical corp. After receiving his honorable discharge, he lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he worked for an ambulance service and later as a chef in food service until retiring due to ill health. On April 26, 2014 he married Giustina Phillips in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made there home near Lenapah. Tony was a member of Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. He enjoyed reading especially his bible. Survivors include his wife, Giustina of the home, step-daughter Cassandra Thornton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, mother-in-law Debbie Phillips and brother-in-law Joseph Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Victoria and brother Billy Tolbert. A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma with Pastor James Feltner officiating. Cremation will take place under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
