Charles David Curtius, Jr., 69, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
He was born on July 19, 1951 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Charles David and Mary (Amalfitano) Curtius, Sr. Charles grew up in Florida graduating from St. John's Catholic High School and attended Florida State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree.
He married Melanie Cramer and they had two children, Brendon and Rebecca. The couple later divorced.
In 2008 he married Mary Ruble. Following their marriage they made their home in Florida and Louisiana before coming to Coffeyville.
Charles worked as a computer programmer for the State of Florida and later worked as a security guard until retiring.
He was a friend to many and enjoyed visiting with everyone he met.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; his children, Brendon and Rebecca; his step-children, Dorothy Lazza-Barahena, Raymond Ruble, and Roberta Roberts; eight aunts, uncles and cousins; also eleven step-grandchildren who adored him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Following Charles' wishes cremation will take place under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will have a celebration of life service at the First Baptist Church on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3:00 p .m. in Coffeyville, Kansas.
